The teachers are still waiting for some of you who were absent from training in the last 2 weeks to step forward and to provide us with your MC/Parents' Letter.
Failing to provide these will result in dishing out of punishment to these members.

C Boys South Zone Competition 2009 to be held in Term 2
Hi all,
This post is meant for the C Boys (next year's Sec 1 and Sec 2 players).
It has been confirmed by MOE CCA Branch (CCAB, for short) that the South Zone C Boys competition will be held earlier this year in Term 2 (Mar - Apr) period.
So make sure that you keep yourselves physically fit and your skills honed to be ready for next year's SZ games!
This post is meant for the C Boys (next year's Sec 1 and Sec 2 players).

What's coming up in 2009...
Hi all,
The following is an overview of what to expect in Basketball CCA (besides normal training):
Sec 1 CCA Orientation (Jan 09) - This is to introduce all CCAs to the Sec 1s joining the school in 2009. All members are expected to help out in one way or another in the Basketball CCA booth. You will be given CIP hours as well.
Enrichment Programme (throughout the year) - This enrichment programme allows you to learn new skills or take part in activities that are not basketball-related. For example: Kayaking, Dragonboating, Sport-climbing, Hip-hop dancing, Web Publishing, etc etc.
CIP (throughout the year) - CIP is compulsory for all secondary school students and therefore we will incorporate CIP acitivites into our CCA schedule. CIP hours will be given as well. CIP activities can be internal or external activities, eg improvement of school environment, visit to orphanages, conducting of basketball clinics for primary school students, etc.
Overseas outreach (mid-year and year-end) - This is an extension of CIP to overseas locations. We may go to countries like Vietnam, Thailand or Laos to do outreach activities that will help improve the livelihood of the citizens of those countries.

Asian Youth Games 2009 (AYG) - end June, early July 2009
The AYG will be held in Singapore next year. This will be a lead-up to the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore in 2010. More details to be provided in a later posting.
Youth Olympic Games (YOG) 2009 - Aug 2010
The YOG will be held in Singapore in 2010. As part of Singapore's efforts to welcome athletes from all over the world and to carry out a successful inaugural world games for international youths, all Singapore schools (Primary, Secondary, PreU) will be officially involved in preparations for it. The Sec 2 and 3 team leaders for Peicai Basketball 2009 will be as follows:
Sec 2
Captain : Everett Chua (current 1F)
Co-captain: Edwin Lau (current 1E)
Sec 3
Captain : Cheng Rong (current 2A)
Co-captain : Zhen Hao (current 2B)/ Weipeng (current 2D)
Please note the following:

- Team leaders will be awarded CCA points for LEADERSHIP at the end of the year.
